Easter 2016 in the Holy Land | Brit Olom Tours

DAY 1

After flight arrival, Meet and Assist service for the group , and transfer to your hotel in Tel Aviv.

Overnight in Tel Aviv

DAY 2

Visit Jaffa (where Jonah and Peter visited), Caesarea (with a Roman amphitheater built in the days of Christ), Mt. Carmel (where Elijah called down fire). See the plains of Armageddon and archaeological finds at Megiddo. Travel to Nazareth and visit Mary’s Well & the Basilica of the Annunciation. Overnight in Tiberias.

DAY 3

Lake Galilee – Tabgha – Mt. Beatitudes - Yardenit – Capernaum – Golan

Heights Begin the day with a visit to Mount Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount was delivered (Matthew ch. 5-7). Nearby view Tabgha, site of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes. Continue to Capernaum, center of Jesus' Galilee Ministry. Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit the Yigal Allon Museum at Kibbutz Nof Ginossar, where you will be able to view the “Jesus Boat”, an ancient wooden boat dating back to the 1st Century CE.ascend the Golan Heights for a panoramic view. Visit Caesarea Philippi (where Peter proclaimed Jesus to be the Messiah). End the day at the Yardenit Baptismal Site on the Jordan River. Return to your hotel in Tiberias.

DAY 4

Masada – Qumran – Dead Sea

Our drive takes you to the Dead Sea. Ascend by cable car to the top of the Masada fortress, built by Herod the Great in the 1st Century BC and renowned as the last Jewish stronghold against the Romans. Visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and take the opportunity to float in the salt rich waters of the Dead Sea before heading back to Jerusalem.

DAY 5

Mt. Olives - Gethsemane - Via Dolorosa- Western Wall

Enjoy a panoramic view at the Mt. of Olives, visit the Garden of Gethsemane, the Pool of Bethesda, the Western Wall, Cardo, Jewish Quarters and Oriental Bazaars. Go to the Upper Room (with time for prayer), and walk along the Via Dolorosa. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 6

Israel Museum - Yad Vashem - Bethlehem - Garden Tomb

Visit the Israel Museum (with the Dead Sea Scrolls on display), Yad Vashem-Holocaust Memorial. See Bethlehem, the shepherd's field and then visit the Garden Tomb. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 7

City Of David – Genesis Land – Tower of David Sound & Light Show

Explore the ongoing excavation at the City of David, the ancient core of Jerusalem built by King David, including a sophisticated underground water system. Then see the Pool of Siloam, where a blind man washed the mud from his eyes after being cured by Jesus (John 9).Continue to Genesis Land which is situated in the heart of the Judean desert, on the way to the Dead Sea, in the land where the Patriarchs lived. A magical place, it enables visitors to experience life as it was in biblical times. ( includes camel ride + Lunch )After Dinner , drive to Tower of David Sound and Light Show ( Night Spectacular ),which tells a wordless, politically neutral pictorial tale of the history of Jerusalem from the time of the Israelite kings down almost to the present day.

Free day for leisure.

Breakfast in hotel, Leisure day. Enjoy and explore on your own.In the evening , have a farewell dinner at the Cardo restaurant in the old city.Overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 9

After breakfast transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your flight.
