Whether you’re a photographer or just enjoy taking great vacation photos, add to your collection by traveling to these must-see beaches. Instead of going to a normal beach, make your next trip to the coast a bit more colorful.

Harbour Island, Bahamas

Harbour Island in the Bahamas is home to an impressive 3.5 mile stretch of pink sand beaches. Known as Briland to the locals, this talcum soft and vibrantly colored stretch of land is located on the east side of the island. Although this is quite a site to see, it is never too crowded to be properly enjoyed. Snap away at the beach but do make sure to also give the town some attention. The flower lined streets and pastel-hued buildings are part of Harbour Island’s charm. Avoid visiting this island in the fall because hurricane season means many shops will be closed. To get there, fly to North Eleuthera and then take a water taxi to this island.

Vaadhoo Island, Maldives

Vaadhoo Island in the Maldives is world famous for its spectacular glowing sand. Located in the Indian Ocean, there is no bad time to visit this island and the other islands that make up the Maldives. Temperatures are warm and sunny year round making it perfect for relaxing on the beach, and the glowing sands can be admired almost every evening. Often described as a neon blue glowing coastline, the phytoplankton that causes the bioluminescence in the Maldives looks like a reflection of the starry night sky. Don’t miss out on this must-see sight and be sure to take many photos for your scrapbook!
