To get there, fly to North Eleuthera and then take a water taxi to this island.

Vaadhoo Island in the Maldives is world famous for its spectacular glowing sand. Located in the Indian Ocean, there is no bad time to visit this island and the other islands that make up the Maldives. Temperatures are warm and sunny year round making it perfect for relaxing on the beach, and the glowing sands can be admired almost every evening. Often described as a neon blue glowing coastline, the phytoplankton that causes the bioluminescence in the Maldives looks like a reflection of the starry night sky.
