Puʻuloa

Ha'akulamanu

Full disclosure: this is not the best-smelling hiking trail. The mixture of gases emanates a not-so-great scent. However, you will marvel at watching the sulfur banks and the colorful crystals they can create.

Kīlauea Iki

Finally, the Kīlauea Iki trail will take you from the rainforest to a solidified lava lake and a crater. This is a slightly more challenging hike, so be sure to bring the right tools and energy to enjoy it fully.
