When visiting the Republic of Ireland, its capital, Dublin, is a must-see city. Not only is it the capital, it is also the largest city in the country. Not sure what to see and do there? These tips can help you out!

Have a Beer in Dublin

When people think of Ireland, one of the first things they think of is beer, and with good reason. During your stay in Dublin, grabbing a pint or two is a must. There’s no shortage of pubs in the city, so you’re sure to find a place with good beer and the atmosphere you’re looking for. Of course, one of the most popular places to enjoy a pint is in the historic Temple Bar which dates back hundreds of years. While you’re in the city, be sure to also make a stop at the Guinness Storehouse for a tour of the place as well as a rooftop beer tasting where you can’t beat the views or the brew.

Live Ireland’s Traditions Firsthand

Ireland is full of tradition, so it makes sense to experience it firsthand. There are plenty of places that offer traditional three-course meals along with a Celtic dancing show. Reserve your meal and show early on so that you can be sure you’ll get a seat. If you’re looking for traditional flavors, you can’t go wrong with Irish stew, barmbrack, and boxty, traditional Irish dishes.

What to See in Dublin

There are plenty of sights to take in during your visit to Dublin. Start by visiting the historic Trinity College which was founded in 1592. Its gothic style halls and old library are impressive, to say the least. Next, head over to the Dublin Castle, which is just a few blocks from Trinity College. The oldest piece of the castle dates back to the 13th century, so there’s definitely a lot of history to take in here. If you’re looking for something a bit more green, take a day trip to the Irish countryside. The Cliffs of Moher are a favorite amongst tourists because of their impressive, lush views.
